It's hard to believe, but our Bethlehem outreach is just around the corner. Here's how you can make a difference this year:

We begin with prayer. It's not too early to begin praying for those visitors who will be coming, but who don't know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Bethlehem presents the real meaning of Christmas: God came down into this world as a baby who would grow up to be the Savior of the world. God came into our world on a rescue mission and everyone needs to know it!

Pray that people who need to know Jesus will come. Pray that they hear and experience the message of the Christmas story. Pray that they will be open to receive this message into their minds and hearts.

Also pray that those from other churches who come every year to be blessed by our production will bring their own friends, neighbors and relatives to experience the Christmas story. May many churches leverage this event to expand their own outreach endeavors in God's great Kingdom.

As we pray, so may we serve. How will you join with the rest of the family at SCFBC to make this year's outreach the best ever? Will you be a town person? Staff a marketplace booth? Join the company of Roman guards? How about helping with parking? Handing out hot chocolate? Distributing the costumes? Serving in the first aid station? Or serving as a youth slave or entourage dancer in the Wise Men entourage?

This year we are also enhancing our Host ministry. We need friendly, outgoing individuals to warmly greet our guests and start conversations that might lead them into a spiritual dialogue. Also, we need people behind the scenes who will pray for Bethlehem's outreach effectiveness while the shows are being presented each night.

You can help make a difference. Ask God where He wants you to serve and jump in!
