HOPE: WHEN HOPE MEETS COMPASSION

One of our visions at Santa Clara First Baptist Church is to impact both the local community and the world. One of the ways we are impacting the world is through education, as we help to educate the orphans and impoverished Naga children in India.

We are supporting them and changing their lives by providing food, clothing, shelter and sending them to school. India is home to over 30% of the almost 385 million children living in extreme poverty throughout the world. According to a new report by the World Bank Group and UNICEF, the greatest number of impoverished children live in South Asia.

WHERE COMPASSION MEETS HOPE
Education is a great equalizer. We want to make sure this is more than a myth. At the HOPE Naga Orphanage, we are forging a way for orphans and impoverished kids to keep going forward. Through education, we are shaping these kids who are both driven to learn and passionate about making a difference in the world. The economic disadvantages they face can rob them of their dreams and future. But educational success is connected to economic advantages, and your compassion can help make the hopes and dreams of these children come true.

COMPASSION AT WORK
Your compassion is already at work every day for the 27 kids at the Hope Children Home. Many of these kids are at the top of their class. They are performing better than most students at their grade level. Your support provides food, shelter and tuition fees for the kids at HOPE. They could not have the opportunities they have now without your compassionate giving.

COMPASSION OPPORTUNITY
The holiday season will be here soon. The children at HOPE love to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. During this time, we shower extra love on the children by giving gifts. We invite you to put a BIG smile on the faces of the children this Christmas and New Year by donating to HOPE. If you want to help, just write NAGA Children on your offering envelope.

  1. Each child will receive a Christmas package with a pair of shoes, a shirt, pants, and a jacket or warm sweater.
  2. They will also receive a Christmas allowance so they can buy something that they would like to have when they hang out with their friends.

Thank you for making a big difference in the lives of these children.
