THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT!

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:30-31

What does “Neighborly Love in a Pluralistic World” look like in Silicon Valley? Loving someone is not easy. To love not only one’s neighbor, but someone who is different from you is radical love. The parable of the Good Samaritan who helped the injured Jew, and also Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman, are perfect examples of neighborly love between two groups that were not supposed to get along. Radical love is not easy to attain when we live in a very individualistic and materialistic world.

This summer we are back, by demand, with Life Groups that will allow space for you to grow in your love for God, as well as for your neighbors. I invite you to do Life Together so that we may edify one another. I encourage you to share your life and your gifts with the larger body of Christ, as well as with those outside of the body.

Life Groups are groups of 7 to 15 people who meet together each week to learn about the Bible, to grow, and to have fun meeting new people. Our Summer trimester starts on SundayMay 19th, and ends on SaturdayAugust 10th, 2019. Sign up now @ www.scfbc.org/lg. Oh, and some of our groups are ongoing and can be joined at any time.
