THE MESSAGE
- Santa Clara First Baptist Church is called to make a difference locally and globally.
"We must be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God" (John Stott).
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN GOD SPEAKS TO YOU IN A DREAM
- 1. You Are Responsible For Your Dream
- You could be hated because God gave you a dream: "Here comes the dreamer."
- Joseph was hated for his dreams (Genesis 37:6-9).
- Why would Joseph tell another dream?
- Joseph's action appeared to be immature, insensitive, and imprudent. Or did Joseph know what he was doing all along?
- When God speaks to us in a dream, we are responsible for the dream.
- 2. God's Dream Impacts The Present
- When God speaks to us in a dream, we are responsible for the dream.
"Then He said, "Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream." Numbers 12:6. - Joseph wasn't insensitive, immature or imprudent. He was simply claiming his dream. Joseph was claiming his future right then and there.
- When God speaks to us in a dream, we are responsible for the dream.
- 3. Viewing The Future And Experiencing It Right Here And Now
- When a dreamer dreams God's dream,
- the dreamer is viewing the future and experiencing it right here and now.
- Inspiration not inaction
- 4. Potential Future And Present Reality
- A dream is a potential future.
- A dream remains a dream if we do nothing about it.
- God gives you a dream, but it will remain just a dream if you do nothing about it.
