Redwood Glen Staff
December 2016

Yes. Redwood Glen is finding water. We have drilled four wells, of which three are producing water. The picture below is the well located up behind Retreat Lodge. This well is going through its 72-hour pump test to determine the water quantity and flow rate. After the pump tests are completed on all the wells, the results will be sent to the State Water Board for analysis and we will begin the project of building the treatment plant.

We are now over halfway to our goal of $400,00.  We've collected slightly more than $230.000 in cash and donated goods.  But we're not done yet.

If you have already donated to our "Help Save Redwood Glen" Water Fund, those of us here at Redwood Glen want to say thank you so very much for your help. We really do appreciate it. Would you please consider making another donation to help us get the treatment plant built?

SCFBC has been challenged by Pastor Rich and Suzi Reaves in a dollar-for-dollar match for the "Help Save Redwood Glen" Water Fund. That means for every dollar that is donated through the end the year the Reaves will match that donation - up to $5,000. You can make a donation to this fund through the end of December by noting it on your Giving envelope and/or on your check on Sunday morning.

If you haven't yet taken the opportunity to give to the "Help Save Redwood Glen" Water Fund, would you please consider doing that now? Your gift will help us become water-independent so that come this summer we can provide the best camp experience to all the children and youth who visit us.
