E100 - It’s Not Just for Life Groups!

If you’ve been around SCFBC lately, you’ve probably heard talk about E100 or Essential 100. In a nutshell, E100 is a reading plan that focuses on 100 carefully selected passages of the Bible, spanning the Old and the New Testaments. The beauty of this plan is that readers are able to get an overall sense of the Bible without reading every verse. It focuses of presenting the big picture.

E100 gives readers a lot of flexibility too. For example, the passages are numbered, not dated, so that you can embark on the reading plan with whatever schedule works best for you. You also choose whichever translation of the Bible you prefer. Finally, the E100 plan can be done in small groups (like our Life Groups), with a friend, or individually! If you’ve never read the Bible before, or if you’ve been reading it your whole life, the E100 plan is a wonderful exercise—you won’t regret it!

If you did not sign up for a Life Group this trimester (or if you are in a Life Group that is not doing E100), we highly encourage you to get onboard with E100. Studies show that the best way to grow and mature in your faith is to spend regular time reading and thinking about God’s word.
