Missionaries to the Congo
September 2015

We are on our way

On July 9th International Ministries leadership voted to commission our family and send us on our way to the mission field in Congo. This was after many of you had pledged ongoing support for our ministry. So to start off with anything but a huge " THANK YOU!!!" would be inadequate. We are so amazed at God's provision for us through you. This has been a long journey and some days we didn't think we would ever reach this 100% point, but here we are thanks to many of you.

Saying Goodbye...

One of the lessons that we have carried since our initial training in Colorado is that when farewells hurt it is because you have loved and been loved well. We have been surrounded by many goodbyes that are already beginning to hurt. We hope that we have loved you well and will have the chance in the future to participate more fully in your lives on a regular basis.

Thank you for loving us well

We have over 100 pledged supporters as well as many others who give occasionally to support our work in Congo. We have taken the opportunity to visit as we travel, and it is exciting that many deep friendships have been developed with individuals and churches that we didn’t even know just a few years ago. It is these relationships that will strengthen us during the hard times we will face ahead.

We kept August open to say goodbye and pack. Just deciding what to pack and what to leave behind took so much energy. Both France and Congo, to some degree, are unknowns. But we know that life in urban France will be quite different than life in Kikongo, and we had to pack for both.

Blessings,
Kyle & Katrina
