Disaster Relief

Due to the volatile weather we have experienced across the country in recent years, First Baptist will continue to send teams of volunteers to aid victims of devastation. We take seriously the desire to serve, and we want to aid communities in the best way possible. In times of crisis, our staff seeks out connections in the affected areas and is there to help where we can.

We have sent teams to the New Orleans area between 2006 and 2007 after hurricane Katrina, and Bridge City, Texas after hurricane Ike in September 2008 to provide assistance to the local people who needed their homes gutted after being flooded. Operation Blessing provided us home addresses and equipment, we provided the hope.

In 2015, we sent a team of 11 to assist home owners who lost their homes in the Valley Fire in Cobb and Middletown, CA. We worked through Samaritan's Purse for this trip.

In 2017, we sent a team of 12 for a week to assist home owners whose homes were flooded near Beaumont Texas from Hurricane Harvey to gut out their homes.
