Choosing Living Over Existing

Acts 20

"You know, from the first day that I came to Asia, in what manner I always lived among you." (Acts 20:17)

INTRODUCTION

Do you live or exist? There is a difference between living and existing. You are created to choose living life fully over simply existing. Paul in his parting words to the disciples and elders of the church spoke how to live as a follower of Jesus Christ. The key to living a fully meaningful and purposeful life is in the ONE who CREATED you. Step into an abundant life with faith and leave the outcome to the CREATOR.

THE MAIN POINT

WHAT DO I DO? I DECIDED TO BECOME A FOLLOWER OF JESUS.
STEP I TO THE GREAT COMMISSION WITH FAITH.

"How I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." (vs 20-21)

CONVERSION BEFORE BECOMING A DISCIPLE

Before you go, conversion is the first step to live an abundant life that Jesus promised Repent To God, Believe In Jesus

"But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God." (v24)

CONDITION TO GO AS A DISCIPLE

As you go, you go on the condition that you receive the Promise of the Father
Received from the Lord Jesus to testify

"I have coveted no one's silver or gold or apparel. Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive." (vs 33-35)

CONTRIBUTION AS A DISCIPLE

As you go, step into the Great Commission with faith that the ONE who commanded you has the ability to affect the people, the surroundings and the world you live in. Be generous and support the weak

"For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified." (vs 27-32)

CHOOSING TO LIVE AS A DISCIPLE

As you go, teach people to choose life over existence and bring others to know and long for the life that is in you. Build you up and give you an inheritance
