Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6).

• 3. God’s Benediction On Those Who Follows His Direction

Who hunger and thirst

• 1. God's Description of Man’s Desire

  The gratification of the appetite of the flesh will eventually lead to destruction
  The gratification of the appetite of the soul will lead to salvation

  Godly Appetite Leads To A Blessed Life

  You are whom you feed

  Jesus is the bread of life that fills our hunger
  Jesus is the living water that quenched our thirst
  And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst (John 6:35).

Hunger and thirst for righteousness

• 2. God’s Prescription for Man’s Desire

  The desire for righteousness delights the Lord,
  The longing for righteousness fulfills the longings of our hearts.

  Blessedness Is Intertwined With Righteousness

  Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4)

They Shall Be filled

• 3. God’s Benediction On Those Who Follows His Direction

  Christ called us to long for righteousness, He is able satisfy the longing,
  Christ caused the longing for righteousness and He is the cost of our righteousness.

  Those Who Hunger And Thirst For Righteousness Shall Be Filled
  "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:14).
