Infinite Hope
Sunday August 9th, 2020 - Pastor Wungreiso Valui
Revelation 1-3 NKJV

"Jesus Christ, The Alpha, and The Omega, The Beginning and The End." Revelation 1-3 NKJV

GOD'S PERFECT PLAN

Jesus is God's Plan for His Church.

WHY JESUS?

There is no Hope Plan without Jesus.
Without Jesus, there is no Church and there is no hope for the church.

WHAT DID JESUS SAY ABOUT HOW WE SHOULD LIVE?

  • 1. KEEP YOUR FIRST LOVE (LETTER TO THE CHURCH IN EPHESUS)
"Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love." Revelation 2:4
    1. FIRST LOVE is the beginning of your spiritual life.
    2. Knowing God begins the moment you experience First Love.
    3. Experience the Unlimited and Unconditional Love of God.

What was the measure of your first love?

  • 2. BE FAITHFUL (LETTER TO THE CHURCH IN SMYRNA)
"Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." Revelation 2:10
    1. FIRST will be last.
    2. Suffering is radical dependence on God.
    3. SUFFERING KEEPS THE FIRE BURNING AND SUSTAINS THE HEAT TO LOVE GOD

Is the fire of the Holy Spirit burning in you?

  • 3. IN THE NAME OF JESUS (LETTER TO THE CHURCH IN PERGAMOS)
"But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality." Revelation 2:14
    1. The FIRST need of people is the Gospel.
    2. Meeting physical needs is the consequence of living the Gospel.
    3. The FIRST TEMPTATION OF JESUS (to turn a stone into bread) was to make a secondary need a primary need. Jesus and the Word come first.

Are you struggling with the temptation to compromise what you believe so that you can be relevant or "fit in"?

  • 4. BE OBEDIENT (LETTER TO THE CHURCH IN THYATIRA)
"But hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations." Revelation 2:25-26
    1. SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.
    2. The power struggle between Jezebel and Elijah reflects the power struggle between God and Satan in the world.
    3. Jesus, The Holy Fire Will Purify Us. Everyone Who Follows Jesus Needs To Go Through The Holy Fire.

Are you struggling with the temptation of seeking power?

  • 5. BE WATCHFUL (LETTER TO THE CHURCH IN SARDIS)
"Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God." Revelation 3:2
    1. THE FIRST AND GREAT COMMANDMENT is to love God and to love your neighbors.
    2. Strengthen the belief and the faith that you have.
    3. Care For Those Who Are Neglected.
    4. GO AFTER THE ONE WHO IS LOST.

What is the condition of your belief and faith right now? How are you strengthening them?

  • 6. PERSEVERE (LETTER TO THE CHURCH IN PHILADELPHIA)
"Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth." Revelation 3:10
    1. THE FIRST WILL BE LAST.
    2. Be Patient With The Stress And The Strain In Your Life.
    3. Faith is strong and vigorous.
    4. Faith gets us into the presence of the power of God.

God knows we have little strength on our own. Are you relying on the strength of God?

  • 7. BE HOT OR COLD (LETTER TO THE CHURCH IN LAODICEA)
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20
    1. THE FIRST AMONG YOU WILL SERVE.
    2. Open the door to God by praying, reading the Word, and living the true life together with others.
    3. WHEN YOU SELF-EMPTY, YOU WILL FIND THAT EVERYTHING IS SUFFICIENT IN GOD'S STRENGTH.

Are you currently lukewarm in your walk with God?

    Labor With Hope.
