DITTY BAGS
All women and girls are invited to come to the Church Parlor to pack Christmas ditty bags for seaman, on Saturday, September 22, at 10:30 A.M. Everyone is also invited to stay for a potluck lunch. Please bring something to share.
Items are still being collected for the ditty bags that will be given as Christmas gifts for seamen. You'll find the list of items wanted below and in a flyer in the church bulletin. Please donate small items suitable for men, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and men’s toiletries, as well as candy or small games that will fit easily in the ditty bags.
Everyone is also invited to go to the Seafarer’s Ministry of the Golden Gate headquarters in Oakland on Tuesday, October 23, to deliver the ditty bags for the seamen. While we are there we will also be packing additional ditty bags. Lunch is provided. We will meet in the church parking lot to carpool at 9:00 A.M., and will return by mid-afternoon.
