Life Groups
Yes, the summer Life Group trimester ends soon βon Saturday, August 10th, to be exact. However, several Life Groups meet throughout the year. Some of these groups do take short breaks from time to time, especially during the fall holiday season when life can get a little hectic.
I like to be in at least one on-going Life Group. Otherwise, "life happens," and when the new one-trimester-only groups begin I don't have room on my schedule to add what I think might be an interesting Bible Study or activity. I know others who join a different Life Group every trimester, in order to meet new people and have a completely new experience. I invite you to try either approach β or both! Luckily, SCFBC Life Groups give you the opportunity to interact with new people every trimester, or to stay with the same group of people throughout the year. Life Groups are the perfect way to connect with others in our church family, and develop a bond as family members would.
So, think about what you would like to do when the sign-up for the fall trimester groups begins later this month. Join with a friend, or be brave and join a group with people you don't know. No doubt, you will soon know them and enjoy their company!
The "GodTrack" series begins again on August 4th.
Week One of the GodTrack Series is on Sunday, August 4th, and Week Two will be on Sunday, August 11. GodTrack, which replaces the "Introduction to SCFBC" class, will answer questions you might have about baptism, membership at Santa Clara First Baptist Church, and other areas of interest. And we always welcome questions! Please sign-up online if you are going to attend. Or call the church office at 408-241-7635. GodTrack meets on Sundays in Pastor Valui's office β Room 27 β from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. You'll learn more about the church, meet new people, and enjoy a snack, too.
