Healing Matters to God

"And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." (Revelation 22:1-2 NKJV)
Healing Matters To God. He sent His son Jesus to heal the nations. We are His beloved and our illness and sickness moves Him to sorrow.
"For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men." (Lamentations 3:33)
God's Plan To Heal The Nations
REMEDY: "The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." (Revelation 22:2)
Jesus Is The Tree
"Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed." (1 Peter 2:24)
"The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree." (Acts 5:30)
Abide In The Vine
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)
Healing For The Mind
When you abide in Jesus, The Holy Spirit renews, moderates and divinely balances your mind.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)
What is a sound mind?
A sound mind is an inner outlook that regulates outward behaviors.
- Renewal: "And to be renewed in the spirit of your minds." (Ephesians 4:23)
- Moderation: "For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?..." (1 Corinthians 2:16)
- Divine Balance: "...But we have the mind of Christ." (1 Corinthians 2:16)
Healing For The Heart
Let the Vine stitch your heart together and let the word of God bind your wounds.
"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me." (John 14:1)
- He Heals: "He heals the brokenhearted..." (Psalms 147:3)
- He Binds: "...and binds up their wounds." (Psalms 147:3)
Healing For The Body
God will heal and restore our health when we confess our sins and lead a holy life.
"This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: "He took our illnesses and bore our diseases." (Matthew 8:17)
Healing matters to God.
"I am the Lord who heals you." (Exodus 15:26)
Restoration:
"I will restore you to health and heal your wounds 'declares the Lord...'" (Jeremiah 30:17)
Confession:
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." (James 5:16)
Holiness:
"Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God." (2 Corinthians 7:1)
Healing For The Soul
Take up your yoke with humility to Jesus and you will find rest for your soul.
- Yoke: "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (Matthew 11:29)
- Humility: "He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper." (Psalms 1:3 NKJV)
- Compassion: "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever captures souls is wise." (Proverbs 11:30) "A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit." (Proverbs 15:4)

"Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:4-5)
