Privacy Policy

It is the policy of Santa Clara First Baptist Church (hereinafter "Church") to protect your personal privacy. Because your use of the Church website (www.scfbc.org) (hereinafter "Site") indicates your acceptance of the Church Privacy Policy, please review this Privacy Policy carefully. Church may change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting revisions to the Church Site. This Privacy Policy shall be applicable to any person or entity that directly or indirectly uses the Site or the Services ("Users").

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Church is the sole owner of the information collected on the Site. It uses collected information to provide or improve Services for Users, and as more particularly set forth below, it may use collected information to contact Users for a variety of reasons, including, without limitation, to send information to them regarding Church, its Services, such as promotions and events. This information is used in ways Church determines appropriate in its sole discretion, and it reserves the right to do so. Church will not sell or rent personally identifiable information to anyone, and it will not disclose any collected information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

Church collects personally identifiable information when leaders register for a Church account, when you use certain Church products or services, and when you visit Church pages.

If you are a leader of a ministry, when you register with the Church, we ask for personally identifiable information including, but not limited to, your name, email address, address, and zip code. Once you register with Church and sign in to its services, you are not anonymous to us. Church also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, Church cookie information, and the page you requested.

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service provider utilized and other similar information.

FINANCIAL TRANSACTION INFORMATION

Church does not process financial transactions or keep any credit card information on its servers. It does maintain a count of funds given to the church on its servers, which can only be personally identifiable via the Financial Secretary of the church for purposes of providing annual donation details back to the User for purposes of providing charitable donation records for tax filing purposes.

Church uses a third-party intermediary to perform credit card and ACH transaction processing. This intermediary is solely a link in the distribution chain, and uses the information provided for the sole purpose of processing the transaction.

COOKIES

Church only employs the use of Cookies to maintain login sessions for any User who has a registered account on the Site while that user is logged in. The cookie is removed after logging out or closing the tab/browser.

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

Church will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.

This Site may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that Church is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our Users to be aware when they leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of each and every site that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by this Site.

ACCESSING AND CHANGING YOUR INFORMATION

You can update your personal information at any time by filling out a connection card and changing your information.

OPT-OUT

Church needs to be able to communicate at times with all Users, and therefore it reserves the right to contact Users. Users who no longer wish to receive communications from Church like the Church newsletter, Weekly Updates, Prayer Notices, or Bible Readings may opt-out of receiving these communications by following the instructions in the e-mails.

SECURITY

Your registration or account information is password-protected for your privacy and security. The security of Church account relies on your protection of your Church password. Any disclosure of your password to a third party may result in access to your registration or account information. Church uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions of financial and certain other information. Church will never request your user name or password via any email message or over the telephone. If you receive such an email or call, please forward the entire message or information about any call immediately to the privacy@scfbc.org. Never provide your Church username or password to anyone via email or phone.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Church may amend this policy from time to time. If it makes any substantial changes in the way it uses your personal information, Church will notify you by posting an announcement on the Site.

ACCEPTANCE OF THIS POLICY

By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy and terms of service. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
