Then the king said to me, "What do you request?" So I prayed to the God of heaven. And I said to the king, "If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' tombs, that I may rebuild it (Nehemiah 2:4-5).
INTRODUCTION
To Pursue A God-Size Dream We need A:
- 1. God-Size Prayer
- 2. God-Size Faith
- 3. God-Size Task
God-Size Prayer
- a) God-Size Passion Gives Birth To A God-Size Prayer (Nehemiah 1:3-4)
- b) God-Size Prayer Directs God-Size Desire (Nehemiah 1:11)
- c) God-Size Prayer Is Understanding of The Size of God (Nehemiah 1:3-11)
So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven (Nehemiah 1:3-4)
God-Size Faith
- a) A God-Size Faith Is Believing Boldly (Nehemiah2:4-5)
- b) A God-Size Faith Is Asking Audaciously (Nehemiah 2:6-8)
- c) A God-Size Faith Is Trusting In God’s Ability (Nehemiah 2:2-8)
And the king granted them to me according to the good hand of my God upon me (Nehemiah 2:8)
A God-Size Task
- a) An Individual Can Initiate A God-Size Task (Nehemiah 2:12-16)
- b) An Individual Can Inspire A God-Size Task (Nehemiah 2: 17-18)
- c) Only God Can Accomplish A God-Size Task (Nehemiah 5:15-16)
Now Tobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, “Whatever they build, if even a fox goes up on it, he will break down their stone wall.”
So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of Elul, in fifty-two days. And it happened, when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations around us saw these things, that they were very disheartened in their own eyes; for they perceived that this work was done by our God.
