Living Victoriously By the Power of the Gospel
Sunday April 5th, 2020 - Pastor Wungreiso Valui
Matthew 21: 7-14, Romans 1:16-17

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith.'" (Romans 1:16-17)

We know that Good News is GOOD for everyone. What then are we doing to share the GOOD NEWS with our family members, friends, and employees?

The GOOD NEWS Heals

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ." (Romans 1:16)

The Multitude Was Not Ashamed Of Jesus

"They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: 'Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!' Hosanna in the highest!' (Matthew 21:7-8)

The Children Were Not Ashamed Of Jesus

"But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, 'Hosanna to the Son of David!' they were indignant and said to Him, 'Do You hear what these are saying?' And Jesus said to them, 'Yes. Have you never read,'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?" (Matthew 21:16)

The Whole City Was Moved

"And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, 'Who is this?' So the multitudes said, 'This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.'" (Matthew 21:10-11)

The GOOD NEWS has the POWER to deliver, to rescue, to defend, to preserve, to vanquish, and to save.

"...for it is the power of God to salvation." (Romans 1:16)
  1. The power of God to salvation comes through a personal relationship with Jesus.
  2. This personal relationship with Jesus is not a physical relationship. And this personal relationship with
  3. Jesus is not a natural relationship.
  4. To experience the healing power of God, you must enter into a spiritual relationship with Jesus.

God provides the POWER when we believe in Him.

for everyone who believes

God reveals His righteousness when we embrace the Good News and believe in the power of God to save us.

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith.'" (Romans 1:17)
  1. The righteousness of God is the natural character of God.
  2. Righteousness is the natural expression of the holiness of God.
  3. God's holiness is an inward expression within us. Holiness is not outward appearances, and not legalistic or ceremonial.

Imitate Christ.

We know the GOOD NEWS is GOOD for everyone. What then are we doing to expose the Good News at home, in public places and at our workplace?

Consider whether we are sharing the GOOD NEWS, when the world so desperately needs to hear IT.
