THE 4 PROPHETS

1. ISAIAH AS THE FORERUNNER OF JESUS

• i. Preparing The Way For The Messiah
  

  A voice is calling, “Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God" (Isaiah 40:3).

  Fulfillment of the prophesy (Mark 1:2-4)
• ii. Miracle of the Virgin Birth
  

  Then he said, "Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:13-14).

  Fulfillment: Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-35

2. MALACHI BREAKING NEWS ON THE COMING OF JESUS

“Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the LORD of hosts (Malachi 3:1)

3. MICAH GAVE DIRECTION TO FIND THE BIRTH PLACE OF JESUS

• i. Announced The Place of Birth

  “But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.” Therefore, He will give them up until the time when she who is in labor has borne a child. Then the remainder of His brethren will return to the sons of Israel (Micah 5:2-3).

• ii. The Wise Men Found The Place

  Fulfillment: Luke 2:1-7; Matthew 2:1-6

4. JEREMIAH PRONOUNCED THAT JESUS WOULD COME FROM THE HOUSE OF DAVID

• i. The Lamentation of the Birth of Jesus

  Thus says the LORD: "A voice was heard in Ramah, Lamentation and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted for her children, Because they are no more (Jeremiah 31:15)

  Fulfilment Mathew 2:17-18

• ii. The Royal Line Was To Be Cursed And Cut Off

  Thus says the LORD: 'Write this man down as childless, A man who shall not prosper in his days; For none of his descendants shall prosper, Sitting on the throne of David, And ruling anymore in Judah.' "(Jeremiah 22:28-30)

THE RULER (THIRD IN COMMAND)

5. DANIEL RECORDED THE TIME OF JESUS’ ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM

• i. The Rebuilding Of The Temple

  "Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times" (Daniel 9:24.27)

• ii. The Death of Jesus Christ

  Fulfillment Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:29-38 The Triumphal Entry.
