Micah 6:8

"He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?" -Micah 6:8

THE MESSAGE

Act Justly, Love Mercy, And Walk Humbly

Learn to live fearlessly. Unmute your voice and speak out against the oppression of the people by both spiritual and secular leaders.

THE DESIRED OUTCOME

Be an advocate for the poor, defender of the weak, and speak up for those who are abused and oppressed. Do not take advantage of the people entrusted in your care.

You cannot pivot to an inspiring life by simply looking out for yourself.

THE CONTEXT

The people in Judah and the Northern Kingdom had abandoned the ways of God. The rich oppressed the poor, and the people rejected God's law.

Micah spoke fearlessly with great authority to confront the prophets and officials in Jerusalem for perverting justice and oppressing the people.

"But as for me, I am filled with authority, justice, and courage to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin." (Micah 3:8).

Micah spoke with fearless self-assurance. No other prophets come close to it.
