Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called...Mighty God... -Isaiah 9:6

THE MESSAGE

Jesus is the mighty God who is mighty to save and the hope of all nations.

DESIRED OUTCOME

My hope is you will experience a permanent hope in your daily life no matter what your circumstances are.

1. Jesus Is The Mighty God Who Calls You Out From Darkness Into His Marvelous Light

1. Jesus came as the true light in a dark and divisive world.
2. Jesus came to declare that His followers are the light of the world.
3. Follow Jesus that we may not be in darkness, but have the light of life.

2. Jesus The Mighty God Is The Real Hope For All Nations

1. Jesus was the prophesied good news for the people in captivity (700 years before His birth).
2. Jesus was the promised hope for the people in dark ages (400 years of silence).
3. Jesus came to the Temple and declared that God's house will be a house of prayer for all nations.

"Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming," says the Lord of hosts. -Malachi 3:1

3. Jesus Is Hope In The Midst Of Rebellion

1. Jesus came when there was political turmoil and religious unrest.
2. Jesus came in a rebellious time to bring revolutionary peace.
3. Jesus offered peace, not like Pax Romana and not as the world offers.

"Here is My Servant whom I have chosen, the One I love, in whom I delight; I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations." -Matthew 12:18

4. Jesus Is The Hope In Crisis And Unrest

1. Jesus came in a time of political unrest, religious nationalism, oppressive taxation and economic hardship.
2. Jesus came to bring revival and spiritual awakening.
3. Jesus came to prevail against His enemies as a swift witness and bring forth justice to all nations.

"The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies." -Isaiah 42:13 (NKJV)

5. Jesus Is The Hope For Eternal Life

1. Jesus was God's intervention and innovation.
2. Jesus was God's plan to save the world.
3. Jesus came to give eternal life, the ultimate Good News.
