'What do you need to PUT OFF and PUT ON to have a BREAKTHROUGH?" To become a better version of yourself?

"To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness." Ephesians 4:22-24

GOD GIVES DREAMS AND VISIONS FOR YOUR BREAKTHROUGH.

  1. To experience a breakthrough, change has to happen in you.
  2. When you take on God's dream, He will bring it to pass.
  3. The dream-maker will assure the success of His dream.

1. WHAT IS THE DANIEL FAST?

  1. Daniel 1:12-13 "Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then let our appearance be examined before you, and the appearance of the young men who eat the portion of the king's delicacies; and as you see fit, so deal with your servants."
  2. Daniel 10: 2-3 In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

Q. Are you fasting from something during January?

2. GOD REVEALS DEEP AND SECRET THINGS

  1. Daniel 2: Nebuchadnezzar had a dream: The wise men of human skill failed to show and interpret the dreams. But Daniel, who trusted God in prayer, received His supernatural interpretation.
  2. "The secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision." Daniel 2:19
  3. "He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him." Daniel 2:23

Q. Has God been revealing his deep and secret things to you lately?

What dreams and visions has He been revealing to you?

3. GOD REVEALS DEEP AND SECRET THINGS WHEN WE PRAY

  1. But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. (Daniel 2:28)
  2. Nebuchadnezzar's Dream:
    "You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome. This image's head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. (Daniel 2: 31-33)
  3. Daniel Explains Dream Daniel, who trusted God in prayer, received His supernatural interpretation. He gave credit to God in his prayer and His testimony before Nebuchadnezzar. Later, the king, too, gave God the glory. (Daniel 2: 36-45)

BREAKTHROUGH:

  • 1. God was Exalted by Nebuchadnezzar.
  • 2. Daniel and His Friends were Promoted.
The king answered Daniel and said, "Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret." Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon. (Daniel 2: 47-48)

Q. Daniel was gifted with deep knowledge and understanding.

Q. How can you exercise your "spiritual gifts" today? How can you align your gifts with your dreams?

  1. When God gives dreams and visions, they always point toward his kingdom and His glory. In the process, you also grow. Because He cares for you, He is interested in your life.
  2. "Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it." - Habakkuk 2:2
  3. God gave dreams and visions to Daniel to save His people and reveal God's plan for the world.
  4. Like Daniel, we need to trust God in prayer for a supernatural breakthrough.
  5. God has a dream, and you are part of His dream. Trust in God's plan because He is the dream-maker.
  6. God-given visions will triumph over pain and chain. God will break every chain to change your future. When you take on God's vision, He will bring it to pass.
