God Gives Vision to Give Hope For the Future

Daniel 7:27

"Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him." -Daniel 7:27

THE MESSAGE

God GIVES dreams and visions to GIVE hope for the future.

BREAKTHROUGH

God GIVES spiritual breakthroughs.
Spiritual breakthroughs can only be RECEIVED and not ACHIEVED.

THE DREAM AND VISION

Daniel saw in his dream a vision of four beasts, the antichrist, and the Ancient of Days who gave authority, glory, and sovereign power to the Son of Man to destroy the four beasts and the antichrist.

WHY IS THIS RELEVANT?

1. The empire of the world, the superpowers of the world have a certain amount of authority for a certain length of time.

"After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns." -Daniel 7:7

2. The empires of the world will pass away.

"As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time." -Daniel 7:12

3. God's kingdom cannot be destroyed and it will not pass away.

"Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed." -Daniel 7:14

4. God's kingdom will be given to the people and they will serve God forever and ever.

" And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him." -Daniel 7:27

KINGDOM BREAKTHROUGH PRINCIPLES

One: Breakthroughs can happen only through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Two: Spiritual discipline is essential for a breakthrough.
Three: Breakthrough can only be received, not achieved.

BREAKTHROUGH CAN ONLY BE RECEIVED AND NOT ACHIEVED

1. A GAP exists between the reality and the promised-future.
2. A BRIDGE is needed to close the gap between the present and the promised-future.
3. A BREAKTHROUGH is given by God.

1. WRITE DOWN THE VISIONS AND DREAMS

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts. -Daniel 7:1

1. God gives dreams and visions.
2. Write down, make it plain, so you can run with it.

2. GOD GAVE HIS SON THE POWER TO BREAKTHROUGH

"I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed." -Daniel 7:13-14

1. The kingdom, dominion, and glory was given to the Son of Man.
2. All peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
3. His dominion is an everlasting dominion.
4. His Kingdom shall not pass away.
5. His kingdom shall not be destroyed.

THE GAP

1. There is the temporal kingdom and the Eternal Kingdom.
2. A gap exists between Daniel's reality and his awe inspiring vision.
3. A gap between the present and the promised-future needs a bridge.

BRIDGE

1. Jesus is the Bridge to an Eternal Kingdom.
2. God sent His Son as the Bridge to His Kingdom.
3. Jesus died on the cross to bridge the gap between God and humankind.

THE BREAKTHROUGH

1. Resurrection is the breakthrough. Without resurrection, God's vision for humanity would be in vain.- 1 Corinthians 15:14
2. Resurrection was given and not achieved. God raised Jesus from the dead.-Romans 8:11, 1 Corinthians 6:14, Ephesians 1:20, 2 Corinthians 2:14

3. GOD GIVES BREAKTHROUGHS TO HIS PEOPLE

"Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him." -Daniel 7:27

1. The kingdom and dominion shall be given to the saints.
2. The kingdom and dominion is received, not achieved.
3. The Church does not give the kingdom; God gives it to them.

THE GAP

1. A Gap exists between who we are - who we want to become.
2. A Gap exists between what we have - what we want to have.
3. A Gap exists between where we are - where we want to be.
4. A Gap exists between our desires - our fulfillment.

WHAT IS THE GAP YOU ARE EXPERIENCING?

1. The most common emotions and feelings you experience in the GAP are worry and fear.
2. You can experience joy in the GAP.

The Impact of Worry And Fear

1. Worry causes you to suffer unfulfilled desire.
2. Unfulfilled desire causes you to suffer fear.
3. We worry and we are afraid, and we can't feel joy until the GAP is closed.

HOW CAN WE CLOSE THE GAP?

1. The VISION bridges the gap.

The Impact Visions and Dreams -JOY

There is pure joy when you receive dreams and visions from God. Joy replaces worries.

1. The process of accomplishing your dreams and visions can bring equal joy of having accomplished them.
2. You can feel joy in your journey to become the better version of you.
3. You can feel contentment in your journey to accomplish your dreams.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials... -James 1:2

Pain, suffering, and sacrifice is closely associated with a breakthrough.

THE BREAKTHROUGH

The Kingdom breakthrough is received, not achieved

1. Salvation is received.
2. Eternal life is received.
3. The Holy Spirit is received.
4. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are received.
5. The Kingdom of God is received.
6. The right to become a child of God is received.

So we must ASK

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. -Mark 11:24

Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. -John 16:24

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7

Ask God for your own breakthrough.
