Sunday January 30, 2022 - Pastor Wungreiso Valui
Daniel 12:2-3

"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever." -Daniel 12:2-3

THE MESSAGE

GOD GIVES VISION TO GUIDE YOUR DAILY LIVING

GOD'S PART

When God gives a vision, He also gives an unshakeable faith for a breakthrough.

YOUR PART

Yield and surrender to God and let His vision guide our daily living.

THE PROMISED REWARD

Those who live in God's vision will shine. Every believer in Jesus are like stars and those who turn many to Jesus will shine brightly.

KINGDOM BREAKTHROUGH PRINCIPLES

  • 1. Breakthroughs can happen only through the work of the Holy Spirit.
  • 2. Spiritual discipline is essential for a breakthrough.
  • 3. Breakthrough can only be received, not achieved.
  • 4. Breaking from the secret sins is essential for a breakthrough.
  • 5. When God gives a vision, He also gives an unshakeable faith for a breakthrough.
  • 6. Seek God's wisdom for a breakthrough.

THE PROBLEM

At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. -Daniel 12:1a
  1. There will be The Great Tribulation
  2. God will discipline the Nation of Israel. (Daniel 9)
  3. Jesus will judge the earth. (Revelation 6-18)

This tribulation Daniel saw in his vision will be different. This will be worse than Israel has ever seen before. Jesus said Matthew 24:21, "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be." Daniel saw the great tribulation and he mourned.

THE PROMISE OF DELIVERANCE

And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book. -Daniel 12:1b
  1. God will keep His promise.
  2. "And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you." -Genesis 17:7
  3. God will deliver everyone found written in the book (of Life).
  4. "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." -Revelation 3:5

And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. -Revelation 20:15 NKJV

What is worth living for?

This is worth living for-God's vision of the Gospel.

THE PROMISE OF RESURRECTION

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. -Daniel 12:2
  1. There will be two resurrections
  2. "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth-those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation." -John 5:28-29
  3. There will be everlasting life
  4. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus...Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. -1 Thessalonians 4:14 & 17
  5. There will be everlasting contempt
  6. The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. -Revelation 20:10

What Is Worth Living For?

This is worth living for-To know God and to experience the power of His resurrection.

THE PROMISE TO THE WISE

Those who are wise shall shine, like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. -Daniel 12:3
  1. Those who save souls are wise. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. -Proverbs 11:30
  2. The wise will shine. To be a winner of souls is a glorious attainment. We need to be wise if we are to turn even one to righteousness, much more so if we are to turn many. For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy. -1 Thessalonians 2:19-20
  3. Those who save souls will shine like a star forever and ever.

What is worth living for?

This is worth living for- to be like a star, a shining star, a star shining forever and ever.

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. -Ephesians 5:15-17 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. -1 Timothy 2:3-4

THE QUALITIES OF THE WISE (Adapted from Charles Spurgeon's "Soul Winner")

  1. Holiness character: There is no self: Preach not yourself but Christ Jesus the Lord. You are there in your personality as a witness to the truth, not only preaching what you believe, but also living what you preach.
  2. A Deep Spiritual life: Experience the life-giving power and communicating life to others.
  3. Humble Spirit: Think the truth about yourself, not demeaning and devaluing yourself, but rightly.
  4. Living faith: Have faith about your calling; you must believe without question that you are really chosen by God to fulfill His will.
  5. Urgency: "Do we not know some men who preach in such a lifeless manner that it is highly improbable that anybody will ever be affected by what they say?"
  6. Simplicity of Heart: Doing everything, not for yourself but for the glory of God and the winning of souls.
