  • A. The woman's courageous step
    • 1. She approached Jesus from behind and touched the border of His garment.
    • 2. Instantly, her flow of blood ceased, and she experienced immediate healing.
  • B. Jesus' inquiry and the disciples' confusion
    • 1. Jesus asked, "Who touched Me?"
    • 2. The disciples, including Peter, expressed confusion due to the crowd pressing around Jesus.

Steps you need to take:
Act in faith: Be bold to approach Jesus. He has divine awareness and power. Jesus is not confused.

III. Jesus Acknowledges the Woman's Faith and the Power Released (Luke 8:46)

  • A. Jesus discerned the touch and power.
    • 1. Jesus sensed power going out from Him.
    • 2. He affirmed that someone touched Him.
  • B. The woman's response and testimony
    • 1. Realizing she was not hidden, she approached Jesus, trembling.
    • 2. In the presence of all, she openly declared the reason she touched Him and how she experienced immediate healing.

Steps you need to take:
Be transparent and humble: Bow down before Jesus and confess your sins.

IV. Jesus' Words of Restoration, Faith, and Peace (Luke 8:48)

  • A. Jesus addressed the woman as "Daughter."
    • 1. He established a relationship of care and affection.
  • B. Jesus commended her faith and declared her well-being
    • 1. He attributed her healing to her faith.
    • 2. Jesus encouraged her to be of good cheer and blessed her with peace.

Steps you need to take:
Go to Jesus like a child: He cares for you like a "son" or "daughter." He has the words of restoration. Jesus will affirm your faith, and it is through faith in Jesus that He will make you well.

V. Ultimate Outcome: Rejuvenation and Transformation

  • A. Transformation from suffering and societal exclusion
    • 1. The woman's prolonged suffering and social isolation ended.
    • 2. She experienced a profound transformation in her physical and spiritual condition and social status.
  • B. From poverty to peace
    • 1. A state of peace replaced the woman's poverty and failed medical treatments.
    • 2. Jesus gave her peace as a result of her encounter with Him.

Steps you need to take:
Jesus offers you peace: The transformative power of the peace that Jesus offers surpasses all circumstances and brings inner healing.

Apply the story of the woman to your life:

  1. Examine your own faith and be persistent in seeking Jesus for healing in your physical, emotional, and spiritual struggles.
  2. Confess your needs and experiences to Jesus, trusting in His power to bring restoration and healing.
  3. Approach Jesus with unwavering faith, believing that He has the power to heal and bring transformation in your life.
  4. Step out in faith, and touch the "border of His garment" through prayer, surrender, and reliance on His power.

Why? Jesus' love and care for you:

  1. Jesus sees and knows your struggles, just as He recognized the woman in the crowd.
  2. Find comfort and confidence in His loving presence and desire to bring healing and peace.

Call to action:

  1. Take a step of faith, trusting in Jesus' power to bring healing and peace to your life.
  2. Do you desire healing, restoration, or a deeper sense of peace?
  3. I invite you to come forward or seek prayer support from the church community.
