The Seven Rhythms
Sharing Your Story
Sunday February 9, 2025 - Pastor Wungreiso Valui
Acts 2:14-41

The Seven Rhythms is based on Acts 2: 42-47

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Peter's Story: To fully understand the context, read Peter's story in Acts 2:14-41.

  • 1. Acts 2:1-4 - The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit
  • 2. Acts 2:5-13 - The Crowd's Amazement and Skepticism
  • 3. Acts 2:14-41- Peter's Story (Response)

Acts 2:14-21 - Sharing your story is an act of boldness.

"But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, 'Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose ... This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: and it shall come to pass in the last days...'"

Acts 2:22-24 - The resurrection of Jesus is the source of our boldness

"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs... whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it..."

Acts 2:37-41 - The people's bold response comes from the same source -The Holy Spirit.

"Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, 'Men and brethren, what shall we do?'"

This passage HIGHLIGHTED the FIRST church revival-where the Spirit moves, lives change, and the church grows! It started with sharing God's story.

CHALLENGE QUESTION:

  1. Are you sharing your story and God's story boldly? How can one share their faith journey and the message of God's love with others to build a spiritual conversation?

APPLICATION:

  1. Start by sharing your personal testimony-how God has worked in your life-and connect it to God's greater story of redemption.
