Luke 10:2-5

INTRODUCTION

1. We're hearing of revival around the world-Africa, Latin America-but not in North America.
2. God has been putting one word on my heart: "NEW."
3. God is doing something new - and He wants us involved.

I. GOD IS DOING SOMETHING NEW

Key Verses:

1. Isaiah 43:18-19 - "I am doing a new thing!"
2. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - "The new is here!"
3. Mark 2:22 - "New wine needs new wineskins."

God's new move requires personal change.

II. HOW DO WE STEP INTO THE NEW?

• 1. Pray First
  1. Luke 10:2 - It all starts with prayer.
  2. Acts 1:14 - The early church prayed constantly.
  3. Story: In Africa, prayer built the church - not hype, but hunger.
• 2. Expect Difficulty
  1. Luke 10:3 - "Lambs among wolves."
  2. Growth always includes pressure and resistance.
  3. Even Jesus felt alone (Matthew 27:46)-but God was still working.
• 3. Trust God Completely
  1. Luke 10:4 - No purse, bag, or sandals-just faith.
  2. Genesis 12:1-3 - Abram obeyed without knowing the destination.
  3. Hebrews 11:8 - Faith means moving without all the answers.
• 4. Move in Faith
  1. James 1:22 - "Do what it says."
  2. James 2: Faith without action is dead.
  3. Matthew 8:10 - Jesus was amazed by the centurion's faith.

What are you doing that amazes Jesus?

CLOSING

1. We want grace - but it was bought with a crown of thorns.
2. We want freedom - but it was bought with nails in Jesus' hands.
3. Walking in faith won't be easy - but it will be worth it.

• Move in faith
