The Necessary Movements of the Gospel (John 4)

1. The Necessary Journey (v4) "He needed to go through Samaria."

Spiritual Check: If Jesus needed to go to Samaria, where might He be sending you?

2. The Necessary Meeting (v7) "Give Me a drink."

Relationship Check: Do people encounter approachability or religion when they meet you?

3. The Necessary Thirst (v10-14) "If you knew the gift of God..."

Heart Check: What do you return to again and again?

4. The Necessary Exposure (v16-18) "Go, call your husband."

Heart Check: Where is Jesus saying today: "Go call that part of your life you keep hiding."

5. The Necessary Worship (v20-24) "Our fathers worshiped on this mountain..."

Worship Lifestyle Check: Does my lifestyle match my worship songs?

6. The Necessary Revelation (v26) "I who speak to you am He."

Belief Check: Do you believe Jesus is Messiah only in theory or Lord of your life in practice?

7. The Necessary Harvest (v35) "Lift up your eyes... the fields are white for harvest."

Vision Check: What might you see if you lifted your eyes today instead of looking down?

8. The Necessary Testimony (v39) "Samaritans believed because of the word of the woman."

Gospel Sharing Check: Has your faith become private and silent?

9. The Necessary Faith (v50) "Your son lives."

Faith Check: Do you trust Jesus only after results? Or when the outcome is unseen?

10. The Necessary Savior "This is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world." John 4:42

Final Heart Questions:

1. What well are you drinking from that still leaves you thirsty? What truth about your life are you avoiding bringing to Jesus?
2. Does my lifestyle match my worship songs?
3. Are you seeing the harvest around you?
4. Who needs to hear your testimony this week?
