Jacob, Leah & Rachel: God's Grace for the Unloved

Genesis 29:31-35
"When the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb..." - Genesis 29:31
Big Idea: God sees the overlooked, loves the unloved, and brings purpose out of rejection.
Introduction: The Pain of Being Unloved. Family pain does not stop God's grace.
Reuben: "See Me": Leah Sought Affirmation Through Performance, Genesis 29:32
"So Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben; for she said, 'The Lord has surely looked on my affliction. Now therefore, my husband will love me."
Key Word - Seen: God sees what others overlook.
Question: Where am I trying to earn love through performance?
Application: Stop using achievements, children, success as proof that you are worthy of love.
Simeon: "Hear Me" - Leah Sought Love Through Being Heard, Genesis 29:33
"Then she conceived again and bore a son, and said, 'Because the Lord has heard that I am unloved, He has therefore given me this son also.' And she called his name Simeon."
Key Word: Heard : God hears what others ignore.
Question: Who in my family is speaking, but I am not truly hearing?
Application: Practice holy listening this week.
Levi: "Hold Me" - Leah Sought Security Through Attachment, Genesis 29:34
"She conceived again and bore a son, and said, 'Now this time my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three sons.' Therefore his name was called Levi."
Key Word -Attached : Presence is not the same as attachment.
Question - Where am I physically present but emotionally absent?
Application - Choose connection over convenience.
Judah: "Heal Me" - Leah's Weakness Did Not Cancel God's Love, Genesis 29:35
"And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, 'Now I will praise the Lord.' Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she stopped bearing."
Key Word - Praise : God's grace rewrites your story.
Question - Where do I need to stop striving and start praising?
Application - Turn one wound into worship this week.
One Question - Where are you looking for love and validation instead of receiving it from God?
One Application -Bring your need for affirmation to God this week and let Him define your worth.
