Hope in the God Who Hears Our Prayers

Isaiah 38:1-6

Context: Hezekiah's Life Extended

Isaiah 38 focuses on King Hezekiah's sickness, prayer, healing, and renewed life. When Hezekiah received devastating news, he turned his face toward the wall and prayed. God heard his prayer, saw his tears, and added fifteen years to his life.

Key Scripture - Isaiah 38: 4-6

And the word of the LORD came to Isaiah, saying, 'Go and tell Hezekiah, Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.'

Main Point

When we bring our pain honestly before God, we discover that He hears our prayers, sees our tears, and remains present in every uncertain season.

• 2. God Sees Our Tears - "I have seen your tears." v5
• 3. God Gives Hope and New Life - "I will add to your days fifteen years" v5.
