Acts 3

"So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?" (Acts 3:12)

Why Does The Ministry Of The Church Hinge On The Holy Spirit?

• STEP ONE: The Holy Spirit Operates In The Name of Jesus
• STEP TWO: The Holy Spirit Draws People Together In The Name Of Jesus
• STEP THREE: The Holy Spirit Teaches About Jesus Christ

Do you know that one Word can change the world? Jesus said the one word that changed the world - "Church."

The Church can save the world through one Person and can transform the world through one Spirit (Wungreiso Valui).

Jesus said, "I will build My church." (Matthew 16:18) The Church of Jesus Christ turned the world upside down (Acts 17:6).

How did the church turn the world upside down?

THE HOLY SPIRIT OPERATES IN THE NAME OF JESUS

• The Holy Spirit Loves The Lost (His Ministry Points To The Life, Death & Resurrection Of Jesus)
  

  "Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour." (Acts 3:1)

• The Holy Spirit Loves The Least (His Ministry Is Evident)
  

  "And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple." (Acts 3:2)

• The Holy Spirit Loves Loving Kindness
  

  "Then Peter said, 'Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.' And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength." (Acts 3: 6&7)

THE HOLY SPIRIT DRAWS PEOPLE TO JESUS

• The Holy Spirit Praises God (Jesus)
  

  "So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them -- walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God." (Acts 3:8-9)

• The Holy Spirit Prepares The Heart Of The People
  

  "Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, greatly amazed." (Acts 3:11)

  The Holy Spirit operates in Jesus' name and draws people to Jesus.

THE HOLY SPIRIT TEACHES ABOUT JESUS

• The Holy Spirit Preaches Jesus
  

  "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before." (Acts 3:19-20)

The Ministry of the church hinges on the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit operates in the name of Jesus. the Holy Spirit draws people to Jesus and the Holy Spirit empowers people to teach about Jesus.
