SHAPE Summit 2017:

Vision2020 January 28 - 9:00AM – 3:00PM

Be part of the second annual SHAPE Summit on Saturday, January 28th. This free, one day all church event will help better prepare you to be fully engaged in the work for which God has called us as a church. Registration will start on January 5th.

The SHAPE (Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences) Summit is designed to help you discover how your unique attributes can be used to share God’s love. This year’s event will focus on how your SHAPE fits into the church’s Vision to work both locally and globally as we share the gospel and care for the poor. (If you don’t know what your SHAPE is, don’t worry. Resources will be provided in advance and there will be a small group discussion that day to help you discover it.)

The day will include:

  • An opening session with Pastor Valui where he will describe the Vision and the strategic plan developed to guide us
  • Morning session with Staff members to learn more about their departments and how you can partner with them
  • Lunch (provided) and fellowship activities
  • Afternoon breakout sessions to help you dig deeper into topics ranging from Emotional Intelligence, Effective Teamwork, Utilizing your SHAPE at SCFBC, Youth Outreach, or a Time in Prayer with God (you will select your session at registration)
  • Closing time to share how God has spoken to you

SHAPE Summit 2017 is for both new Christians and those who have been walking with God for many years. By the end of the day, participants will understand the direction of the church as we embark on a three-year strategic plan, understand how they fit into this Vision, and be better prepared to accomplish the Vision. We want to make it easy for all to attend so childcare will be provided. To register for SHAPE Summit 2017 go to the church website or indicate your interest on the sheet provided in the Sunday bulletin in the weeks ahead.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the SHAPE Summit 2017
