This is What Volunteers Look Like

On January 16, Redwood Glen hosted a Work Day, and the Ung Family from the First Chinese Baptist Church in San Francisco showed up in a big way.

“For over 35 years, I have had the privilege and pleasure of participating in various activities at Redwood Glen,” says Mom, Eva, who has been a Redwood Glen camper, counselor, staff member, camp director, and board member over the course of those years. And when her children were old enough, she introduced them to Redwood Glen, which nurtured and transformed her life.

Redwood Glen put out a call for volunteers that Saturday to help lay water pipes, clear brush, and clean up damage from the wildfires. People came from a variety of places to work and be part of something significant.

“It was our privilege to serve as a family: my husband Arlen and I, along with our five kiddos, Caitlin, Curtis, Hailey, Noah, and Colby,” adds Eva. “We had the opportunity to work together, and to grow closer to one another and closer to God as a family. And it was our privilege to help care for this precious little piece of heaven here on earth.”

If you would like to volunteer, go to www.redwoodglen.com and click “Join the Work.” Near the bottom, click "Volunteer" and read over the list of skills and tasks from which you can choose to offer your time and expertise.

Bridge Funds Making Progress

Thank you SO MUCH to all the generous givers who are helping Redwood Glen through this shutdown year. God continues to bless the facility, the staff, and the board through your wonderful generosity.

Contributions toward the goal of $510,000 total are now more than halfway there!

Received to date: $297,747 which includes a second Paycheck Protection Program loan/grant.

And thanks to all of you who responded to the matching gifts opportunity during February. Who doesn’t want to turn $20 into $40, $100 into $200, or $1,000 into $2,000? Especially when it helps children, youth and adults draw closer to God and grow in their walk with Jesus.
