Frequently asked questions about the library:

Q1: Where did all these wonderful books and materials come from?

A1: First, Thank You! to the many people who have generously donated materials to the library. Other items in the collection were bought at the Global Leadership Summit, and some are books for Life Groups. Currently, we are gathering donated books that will not be added to the library's collection for giving away at H.O.P.E. Silicon Valley on Sunday, August 4th.

Q2:  Why is there blue tape and a number on the spine?

A2:  The blue tape indicates that a book is a recent addition to the library's collection. The number on the blue tape is the month that the book was added. For instance, number 3 means the book was added in March 2019, and books with the number 6 mean they were added in June 2019.

Q3: When is the library OPEN and how long can I borrow a book?

A3:  In the summer, the library is open on Sundays during the Sunday Grill. Both doors to the library will be open, and the book cart with recent additions will be outside on the sidewalk by one of the doors. Usually, someone will be there to help you find books or materials, and to assist you with checking out materials.

Throughout the year, you will also find books in the Book Nook, which is located at the end of the main counter in the church lobby. We add new selections to the Book Nook every 4 to 6 weeks.

If you want to visit the library on Monday through Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m, see Trudy in the office and she will open the library for you. You can also come on Wednesday mornings, between 10:00 a.m. and noon, when the Library Team meets in the library.

Q4: How long can I borrow library materials?

A4: So that others can enjoy the materials, too, we ask that borrowed items be returned when they have been read, watched or listened to. IF you do have something from the library for an extended period of time, we will probably remind you to please return it.
