The mission of the VIBE youth group is to love and meet youth where they are. Also, to encourage and help young people develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Our hope is for students to continue to own their faith upon high school graduation so they can make better choices in college and in the workplace.
Our recent series, "Do You Still Need God in College" invited recent VIBE alums, Julia (2019), Ananya (2020) and Rey (2020) to share their faith journey in college and how the VIBE youth group prepared them. The purpose of this series was to inspire our middle and high school students and help them reflect on their future.
It was inspiring to see Julia and Ananya's relationship with the Lord grow despite challenges being away at college. Both worship at local churches, are active in campus ministries, and have a strong group of friends.
Rey's story was the most relatable to our VIBE youth being unable to experience college life in person as a freshman, while participating in college classes online this past year. Rey chose to embrace home-based faith and to glorify God, which has strengthened his faith.
We are very proud of our VIBE graduates and the choices they are making to glorify God.
