Christmas Series

The world we live in desperately needs hope, peace, joy and love. The good news is you can experience hope, peace, joy and love in your daily life, and it is a free gift. There is no better time than now, this Christmas season, to lift up Jesus who can give real hope, peace, joy, and love to all humankind. He is the Savior of the world, the mighty God who is mighty to save.

The Dark Ages

Jesus, the True Light, came into a divisive world in a dark time. We think of Christmas as a season of festivities and a season of light. That was not the case for Jesus. The world in which Christ was born was full of darkness. Herod ordered the execution of all male children two years old and younger in Bethlehem. Pax Romana, the Roman peace, created a facade of peace and security, while subjugating other parts of the world with brutal force.

Revolution And Rebellion

Jesus came when there was political turmoil and religious unrest. It appears that Jesus was born in the most violent year. There was a bitter civil war and the people entered into a period of revolution and rebellion. King Herod followed a bloody path to gain power and ruled through the tactics of mass terror and massive surveillance.

Division And Conflict

The political unrest, religious nationalism, oppressive taxation and economic hardship in the time of Jesus’ birth reminds us of the world we live in today. The pandemic revealed widespread power imbalance and continues to breed division and conflict to benefit its perpetrator. Christmas is a time to be reminded that the government will be upon Christ’s shoulder and there will be no end to the increase of His government and peace.

Intervention And Innovation

God intervened in human history to bring justice to the world. The plan to save the world was a unique innovation with a new meaning. God sent His son into a world with no certainty of afterlife in order to provide an assurance of eternal life.

The Savior

Ancient political history reveals a bloody path to power. Many men vying for power eliminated their rivals including their own family members. Jesus was born in such a time, and the political rulers and the religious leaders wanted to eliminate him. Christ was a sacrificial lamb on a bloody path to power. The political rulers and religious leaders thought Jesus was eliminated, but He resurrected from the dead.

The Good News

The Good News of Jesus spread to the cities and beyond. The reactions of the political rulers and religious leaders were one of shock and surprise. The hero of the good news was dead; the Romans crucified him. But the crucifixion could not eliminate Jesus. Death could not eliminate Him. Jesus died and rose from the dead to declare to the world that He is the only Savior, mighty to save humankind.

The Mighty God

November 28, 2021 - Pastor Wungreiso Valui

The HOPE Of All Nations

Jesus is the mighty God, who is mighty to save. You can have hope in a hopeless world. In this sermon you will learn how to call on Jesus and find hope.

The world in its current state needs a Savior. There are at least 10 major crises that the world is watching currently, and the world organization has not been able to prevent deadly conflicts. Many people live in a dangerous and complex world. The pandemic has reversed the progress made in combating global infectious disease, global hunger, and workplace equality.

The world continues to experience the challenges of political unrest, refugees, violence against children and human trafficking. Jesus was born in such a state of the world. He came in a world filled with darkness like a mighty man, His zeal like a man of war. Jesus will prevail against His enemies as a swift witness and bring forth justice to all nations. Jesus is the Mighty God, the Hope of all nations

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called...Mighty God… -Isaiah 9:6
"Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming," says the Lord of hosts. -Malachi 3:1
"Here is My Servant whom I have chosen, the One I love, in whom I delight; I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations." -Matthew 12:18

The Prince of Peace

December 5, 2021 - Pastor Dan Griffith

PEACE For All People

Jesus, the Prince of Peace, offers you a peace that the world cannot offer. In this sermon you will learn how you can experience divine peace through Christ Jesus.

Jesus was born during the reign of Caesar Augustus, who was known as the "prince of peace," the "inaugurator of peace on earth" and "savior" of the Romans. There was great prosperity during his reign and he established the Pax Romana (Roman Peace).

Roman peace created a facade of prosperity and security while other parts of the world suffered under the brutal Roman reign. Augustus was worshipped as a god, and emperor worship probably started with him. The Romans worshipped him as the son of God, the prince of peace and their savior.

Who is the real prince of peace that will give peace and prosperity in a world filled with violence and war?

This sermon will distinguish momentary peace from true and permanent peace.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called... Prince of Peace. -Isaiah 9:6
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" -Luke 2:14

The Wonderful

December 12, 2021 - Pastor Richard Reaves

JOY To All People

Jesus is a wonderful joy. This joy is present in everyone and you can experience joy in every circumstance. In this sermon you will learn how to experience joy.

Jesus was born in one of the most violent of times. King Herod issued an order for all male children aged two years and younger to be killed in Bethlehem. The popular public entertainment of the Romans was to watch very skilled gladiators kill each other and gasp at famous gladiators. People came to the Colosseum to watch captives, criminals and, in time, Christians killed in the arena. The violence against slaves and women was incomprehensible.

Jesus came as a Wonderful Messiah, which literally means Incomprehensible. He came to demonstrate His wonderfulness beginning with His conception and how He lived while He was on earth. The Messiah will cause us to gasp in wonder; He is full of wonderful joy.

Jesus showed His wonderfulness in His power to heal, in His compassion for the people, in His love for the weak and the lost, in His amazing teaching and in His resurrection from the dead. Jesus truly causes us to be full of incomprehensible wonder.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful... -Isaiah 9:6
Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people." -Luke 2:10

Everlasting Father

December 19, 2021 - Pastor Wungreiso Valui

So LOVED The World

Jesus, the Messiah will be as the Everlasting Father. He loves you with an everlasting love. In this sermon you will learn how to experience unforsaken love.

As the Father of Infinity, the greatness of God's government and peace will have no end. Jesus is the revelation of God's everlasting love. This divine love is unchanging and eternal. Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. As the Everlasting Father, God's plan for deliverance was motivated by His everlasting love. As Immanuel, God with us, He expressed the miracle of not only God with us but God in us.

God intervened in human history to bring justice to the world. The plan to save the world was a unique innovation with a new meaning. God sent His son into a world with no certainty of afterlife to provide an assurance of eternal life.

God's love plan is a promise and it is eternal. When you accept God's plan of salvation and deliverance through Jesus, you will have eternal life.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Everlasting Father… -Isaiah 9:6
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." -John 3:16

The Savior

December 24, 2021 - Pastor Wungreiso Valui

Mighty To Save

Jesus is the Savior. There is no other on earth and in heaven who can truly save you. In this sermon you will learn how you can experience true freedom.

Jesus was God's plan for salvation. All the major religions of the world teach salvation and the need to be delivered. Jesus is mighty to save, but not as the world expected. He is mighty to save us from eternal death.

"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." -Luke 2:11

The Counselor

December 26, 2021 - Matt Stephens

The Son of God

Jesus is the true counselor because He sits as a King in the council of the Kingdom of heaven. We need good counsel to navigate with wisdom in a world full of information. In this sermon you will learn how to receive good counsel from the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is the son of God, an advocate who sits at the right hand of God. He is a counselor with God. Satan also gives counsel, but it is bad counsel. He is against God. Satan gave bad counsel to the mother of all creation in the Garden of Eden. He lied and deceived the first woman. The ultimate temptation led to the ultimate fall of all humankind.

Jesus came to reverse the curse of Satan's bad counsel and consequences from the fall.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called...Counselor... -Isaiah 9:6
