Last month's lessons have centered around God's plans and promises to Abraham. Although Abraham followed God's instructions faithfully, he spent a long time waiting for God's promises to be fulfilled.

What a difficult example for us to follow! We know these difficult times will not be forever, but we feel like they have gone on long enough. Yet God still wants us to continue to trust in Him and His good plans. As we approach Christmas and winter break, let us keep a thankful heart and find reassurance by looking to how God has blessed us.
For the Winter quarter, we will be stepping out of Genesis and into the life of Jesus.
