Wonderful Volunteers Showed Up!
At just the right time, the feeling of gratitude and being cared for is hitting the Redwood Glen staff. Last Saturday, a great crew of 20 volunteers arrived for the day and went to work. In return, they received a good lunch and sincere THANK YOUs from the Redwood Glen staff. Plus the satisfaction of knowing they helped the camp get ready for the next year of mission and ministry.
The primary goal of the day was cleaning debris and the grounds from the results of the fire. Great efforts went into gathering downed wood, cutting logs, creating firewood and making paths safer. In addition, other areas of the camp grounds were cleaned up, including the pool. Another crew went through the buildings to replace dead batteries in fire alarms. And there was a student earning community service hours with some office work and other needed tasks.
