From the Finance Committee

2021 is off to a good start. Through the first quarter of the year, giving is meeting the budgeted goal and is exceeding expenditures. Mission giving (8% of General Fund giving plus Designated giving) is also meeting its overall goal. Thank you for your unflagging generosity.

On the downside, we’re still about $34,000 short of paying off the courtyard expenses (please keep your pledged amounts coming). The lower sanctuary roof also needs re-roofing, although we currently lack the funding (estimated to be about $45,000) to proceed. We also need to do work on the entry and the adjacent areas of the Fellowship Hall and those costs will likely exceed the portion of last year’s surplus that had been allocated to do the work.

On the plus side, the Fellowship Hall now has a new roof, which we paid for by combining part of last year’s surplus with Campus Maintenance funds of $45,000.

All of these accomplishments AND we’re starting to resume in-person services and meetings. Hallelujah!

2 Corinthians 9:7: "Let each one do just as he has resolved in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
