The VIBE youth group had a fun Christmas celebration and met for the last time in 2020. Aaron kicked off our gathering with "What is the best gift you have given?" Claire opened in prayer, and Josie and Mrs. Allison both led entertaining games.
Pastor Jonathan taught on the birth of Jesus, from Luke 1&2. He asked the youth to reflect and pray on, "What can you trust God for in your life, like Mary did?" The much anticipated Secret Santa gift exchange was organized by Ayla, using a website that randomly drew names and created a wish list, and youth either mailed their gift or demonstrated ninja skills dropping off their gift. We had fun trying to guess who our Secret Santa was. We ended our evening by singing Christmas carols, then Joba closed in prayer.
Our youth mentors also gathered separately to celebrate Christmas and for a blessed year in youth ministry. God is faithful and our VIBE family grew closer together, grew spiritually and grew in size. We are grateful to the Lord for blessing and protecting us!
