DITTY BAGS
All women and girls are invited to come to the Church Parlor on Saturday, September 21, at 10:30 A.M. to pack Christmas Ditty Bags for the Seafarers' Ministry. Everyone is also invited to stay for a potluck lunch. Please bring something to share.
Items are still being collected for the ditty bags, which will be given as Christmas gifts for seamen. Below, you'll see a list of needed items that you can donate. Please donate small items that are suitable for men, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and men’s toiletries, as well as candy or small games that will fit easily in the ditty bags.
Everyone is also invited to go to the Seafarer’s Ministry at its Golden Gate headquarters in Oakland on Tuesday, October 23, to deliver the ditty bags for the seamen. While we are there we will also be packing additional ditty bags. Lunch is provided. We will meet in the church parking lot to carpool at 9:00 A.M., and will return by mid-afternoon.
