What will you leave behind?

At some point in your life, you must have thought, "What will be my legacy?" I hope this will be the legacy of our church: That the children yet to be born will know God.

"That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children, That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments."        (Psalms 78:6-7)

YOUR LEGACY PROJECT

Make The Church’s “Park Project” Your Legacy Project.
You can make SCFBC’s new Park Project your Legacy Project by pledging to help meet the goals of the new Capital Campaign to fund the Park Project.

What you leave behind by being part of the new Park Project will continue to impact the lives of people long after you are gone.

Here's why:

The Playground for children will provide a "GodSpace" where they can have fun learning and grow in faith.
The Tables will provide a space for meals, fellowship, conversation, and togetherness.
The Circle will provide a place for rest, meditation for individuals, and a space where small groups can meet.

You will be hearing more about the Capital Campaign in the coming weeks and months.

THE CHILDREN MATTER
One of my prayers and visions is that the next generation will declare the great and mighty works of God. I would like to leave behind a legacy where the children yet to be born will rise up to declare the mighty works of God and put their hope in God.

“That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children, That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments.” (Psalms 78:6-7)

The Playground will show that children matter to the church. We are investing in the children and their future. The purpose of the Playground is to provide a safe place for the children to have fun and to grow in faith.

THE COMMUNITY MATTERS
The Park Project will also provide a space for fellowship, and will promote friendliness and togetherness. The tables will provide a GodSpace for sharing a meal, coffee, and conversations.

A community thrives when there is the opportunity for more human connection and understanding. With the Park Project, we are reinforcing the vitality of the Community of Christ.

THE CHURCH MATTERS
People matter. The church is people. Jesus invested His life in people, and gave up His life for the people of the world. We are committed to the church, just as Christ was and still is. The Park Project shows outwardly that we care for the children and the youth of the church, because they will be the next generation of the church and the community.

Make The Park Project Your Legacy Project
Consider investing in our children, our community and our church. Make the new Capital Campaign part of your personal Legacy Project.

On Sunday, September 8, we will be handing out a Legacy Card (a pledge card), which will give you the opportunity to make your commitment to help fund the new Park Project. Then, on Sunday, September 29, we ask that you bring your Legacy Card to the church. This will be our "Harvest Sunday."

Your pledge is a way to faithfully glorify God and make a long-lasting impact on the future of our church.
