Santa Clara First Baptist Church has never closed during the COVID-19 pandemic because the Holy Spirit has constantly guided our Church through this challenging time. We praise God that the Holy Spirit encourages us and gives us new ways to stay in touch and worship together.

The Mission Statement of Santa Clara First Baptist Church

The Mission of Santa Clara First Baptist Church is to make Disciples of Jesus Christ and to live a life of loving God, obeying God, serving God, and helping others become followers of Jesus.

Unprecedented Times, Unprecedented Opportunities

The COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented. In these uncertain times, our Church has found new ways to effectively serve our congregation and the community. Our Church continues to thrive and serve in this worrisome and uncertain time.

Why We Are Unique

We are a house of prayer for and of all nations. We reflect God’s vision of a house of prayer for everyone and anyone, and our congregation also reflects the worldwide nature of our community.

“...Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations?" Mark 11:17 NKJV

Why We Exist

We are here to “Connect real people to the real God to experience real love.” We focus everything we do on connecting people to God.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Vision For 2020-2021

The three specific goals we have for 2020-2021 are:

  1. BE ROOTED IN THE WORD

We will continue to become a church based on the deep riches, wisdom, and knowledge of God and His word. We give the study of His Word the prominent place in our Church.

  1. BE ROOTED IN PRAYER

We will be a church that prays and is guided in everything we do by prayer. Prayer will be the fuel and driving force of everything our Church does.

  1. BE ROOTED IN DISCIPLESHIP

We will be a church that makes disciples as we grow our Church in righteousness and lead people to encounter the love of Jesus Christ.

The 2020-2021 goals of our Church are to discover what the Holy Spirit is guiding us to do and to then move forward with Him. Our Church can accomplish these goals however and wherever we may be worshipping as a church. Worshipping and having fellowship together in a building are always what we want to be able to do, but our main goal is NOT gathering together simply as a group of people in a building once a week. Instead, our goal is that there we are a "Church Everywhere and Every Day." Wherever you are – right now pray that you will live your life more like Jesus lived. You don't have to wait for the Church to reopen to be a faithful witness for Christ Jesus. In fact, these times are when living as Jesus taught us to live can have the greatest impact on people who are more open than ever to hearing what the Gospel promises.
