In July, VIBE hosted its first virtual summer camp.  All 36 attendees were able to experience the presence of God and be together in community. The highlight of our camp was when 7th grader Keren received salvation and gave her life to Christ. Woohoo! We celebrated and rejoiced through our individual Zoom screens with thumbs up and applause.

The theme of the summer camp was "What Really Matters." "If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you will appear with him in glory." Colossians 3:1-4 (ESV)

The Holy Spirit inspired our teaching and worship and united our youth group, as well as a number of non-Christian friends they invited. We praise God for the seeds that were planted. The students engaged in fun virtual games and had time to meet new friends. It was motivating to have Max Huss, my former student at San Jose State University, who's a talented musician and a youth director, as our guest speaker during all four sessions of camp.

The anointed Revival Band led worship and was amazing. We were blessed to have the band serve and join us. I am in awe of how faithful God is and how the Holy Spirit ministered to us all. One of our youth, Grace commented, "I know I said something like this yesterday, but tonight's session was phenomenal and eye-opening. I was so moved by the message and the worship. I've never felt so connected with God the way I did tonight. Thanks for putting this amazing summer retreat together!!! God is good!"
