Family Life Team
November 2020

The book of Genesis is rich with narratives, but it also seems to bounce us back and forth between bad and good. In KID Zone, we learned about how it was evil in the world that prompted God to flood the whole earth. We also read about how people forgot about God as they built the Tower of Babel.

However, we were also given examples of people who were faithful and obedient to God, such as Noah and Abram. We also learned about God's faithfulness as He keeps His promises, such as never flooding the whole earth again. How are you reminded of God's promises? Here is a sneak peek of what we'll be encountering in November:

November 1: Lot and Abram Divide the Land (Genesis 13)

November 8: God Makes a Covenant with Abram (Genesis 15:1-18)

November 15: Abraham's Visitors / Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18:1-19:29)

November 22: Isaac is Born (Genesis 21:1-6)

November 29: God Cares for Hagar and Ishmael (Genesis 21:8-21)

Come see what God has in store for us by joining each Sunday at 4:00 PM!

Team Nursery & Pre-K (Andrea Kim Nursery & Pre-K Director) In our pre-K classes we are also working our way through the stories and lessons from the Old Testament. Currently we are having weekly video calls with each family for lessons, reading stories together, and catching up with parents. Here are the lessons for November:

How Abram followed God’s direction (Genesis 12:1-8). “We can follow God”

Lot and Abram Divide the Land (Genesis 13). “Sorting the Sheep”

God makes a Covenant with Abram (Genesis 15:1-18). “I am one of God’s many stars.”

Abraham had 3 visitors (Genesis 18:1-19:29). “News of Joy!”
