Pre-K and Nursery

During the Shelter-in-Place order, the main Pre-Kindergarten and Nursery ministries are by weekly video calls with the pre-K children and their families. Recently, I enjoyed reading a children’s picture Bible with my pre-K students. We covered the main stories from the Old Testaments. Starting this month, we will use the “FaithWeaver” lesson plans for Summer Sunday School. I also read a children's picture book about how important it is to be honest, polite, helpful, and kind. When the church opens again and we all get to see each other in person, the pre-K students will already be acquainted and informed of the Bible lessons and stories.

I love my pre-K students and their families. It is wonderful to be able to keep in touch with the children and their moms. Building relationships with families and helping them whenever they need help are my main ministry goals. Sharing our concerns, comforting one another, giving advice, and praying together is invaluable in these difficult times. God bless our church leaders, members, and children!

Elementary K through 5th Grade

This past month has been a roller-coaster of emotions for me: From the bittersweet moment of seeing our 5th graders move up from KIDZone to the VIBE youth group to the joy of visiting families as I delivered Father's Day gifts. As I chatted with excited kids, who were eager for social interaction, I was reminded that Ecclesiastes 3:1 says that there is a time for everything. We're currently in the time of staying home and keeping "social distance" from one another, but this will not be forever. There will be a time when we can come together to give high fives and hugs again.

We are continuing KID Zone Zoom sessions, where we share life, play games, and hear a Bible story every Sunday. For June, we jumped into the middle of the Old Testament, where we learned lessons from Elisha's ministry and Jonah's story. God cares for the needy. God wants us to be humble. And following God is always the right choice. We will be having the following lessons in July:

July 5: God Calls Isaiah (Isaiah 6:1-8)

July 12: Josiah Promises to Follow the Lord (2 Chronicles 34)

July 19: Daniels' Friends are Safe in the Fiery Furnace (Daniel 3)

July 26: God Protects Daniel in the Lions' Den (Daniel 6:1-23)

Come join us to see and hear the inspiring Bible stories from the past that teach us how we can live as God wants us to live today!
